For single-night rentals, when are DVDs due back at a Filmster?

To pay just $3.95, make sure you get your DVD back by 11:59 p.m. the evening after you rented.

What forms of payment can I use?

Filmster current accepts:

  • VISA;
  • Mastercard;
  • Debit Cards containing the Visa or MasterCard logos
  • American Express;

Our machines do NOT accept:

  • cash;
  • Eftpos

What if I'm late?

At Filmster, there is no such thing as a late fee. Each night you enjoy the DVD is only an additional $3.95.

What will my Credit Card Statement say?

Your card will be charged via "FILMSTER STRATHFIELD AU".

Is my transaction secure?

Yes. Absolutely secure. No card or other personal information is kept on this terminal (GeekSpeak=128 bit SSL encryption).

How long do I have to keep the rental before I've bought it?

You can buy it right away (press the "Buy" option at the beginning of the transaction), return it as a regular "per day" rental, or, if you have enjoyed it for more than 10 days, we assume that you will love it forever and we'll bill it to your credit card as a purchase. (See our Rental Agreement on the keypad LCD screen just before you swipe your card for all the riveting details.)

How can I receive promotional codes for free Filmster rentals and other offers?

Filmster periodically sends special offers to customers who have signed up to receive emails.

How do I redeem promotional codes at a Filmster?

Just follow the three steps below to redeem your code at any participating Filmster:
1.    Select "Rent" on the Filmster screen
2.    Select "Coupon"
3.    Enter coupon code
4.    Your discount will be applied during check out

When are new releases available?

New DVD releases are added to every Filmster kiosk every Tuesday each fortnight.

What do I do if my DVD is unplayable or the wrong DVD is in the case?

Please send Filmster an email. Please note that Filmster cannot refund charges that are older than 90 days.

What if I lose the DVD case or DVD?

For lost DVD case, please email Filmster Customer Service at service@filmster.com.au.

For lost DVDs, your credit or debit card will automatically be charged $39.50 after 10 days.

I'm trying to return my DVD and Filmster won't accept it. What should I do?

First, make sure the DVD rental kiosk you're trying to use is, in fact, a Filmster (click here to find the Filmster locations near you).

What if my credit or debit card is charged incorrectly or my credit or debit transaction is denied?

Please email Filmster Customer Service at service@filmster.com.au and have the last four digits of your credit or debit card available for verification. Please note that Filmster cannot refund charges that are older than 90 days.

Why does Filmster ask for my post code and my email address?
